How FACSOR container measurement works
- Use two cameras at the gate: one with a side view of the container, one with an end view.
- FACSOR measures length and height from the side camera, and width and height from the end camera.
- The dimensions, volume and container type are logged on the FACSOR dashboard for each container.
Camera view: Two views of the gate: one from the side, one from the end.
Questions and answers
How many cameras does it need?
Two: one with a side view of the container and one with an end view. Existing cameras work if they have these views.
Does it identify the container type?
Yes. FACSOR matches the measured size to the closest standard type, such as a 20 ft or 40 ft container.
Do I need new cameras?
No. FACSOR works on the CCTV cameras you already have, reading their streams over RTSP or RTMP. There is no camera replacement or rewiring.
